I am pleased to announce that Dulwich Picture Gallery have a new Sustainbility Policy, outlining our developments over the last year and commitments for the Gallery and it's exhibitions for the future.
Please take a look on our website at the new Sustainability Policy.
Since joining SEFM in 2013 as a Junior Exhibitions Officer, I have been committed to making Dulwich Picture Gallery's exhibitions more sustainable. On becoming an Exhibitions Officer in December 2013, I became more involved with the group, hosting a quarterly meeting at the Gallery in April 2014. This was when I began to look at overhauling the sustainability of our exhibitions, which then led to rewriting the Gallery's Sustainability Policy as a whole.
-Improved recycling across the whole site and particularly during exhibition changeover periods
-The Gallery is an advocate of Museums Freecycle
-Triggering sustainability discussions surrounding the Gallery's BMS and lighting systems
-Working closely with contractors to ensure we work in the most sustainable way possible
We would love to hear your comments on Dulwich Picture Gallery's new Sustainability Policy and also your stories about making your Gallery and/or Exhibitions more sustainable. Please do get in touch via the website or directly by email.
